Yesterday, Stan came to work wearing his new wristwatch – it might have arrived the previous day just like it was promised by the Citywatches website. Stan and I had spent the better part of the week hunting for a nice everyday watch that wasn’t too expensive but a practical one. The Fossil Coachman Chronograph CH2564 is a solid stainless-steel watch with a thick leather cuff strap. What is unusual and stands out, is the blue tinted glass face on this watch. The black cuff leather strap adds to the elegance of this watch. I think it wouldn’t look out of place for any occasion, formal or casual.

Fossil watches are not big on features, although they tell you the time with reliable accuracy. The Fossil Coachman Chronograph CH2564 followed this principle. It offers a quartz movement, known for accuracy. As I mentioned before, it has a blue-tinted mineral crystal which is a unique feature in itself. The chronograph functions are displayed by the three sub-dials along with a tachymeter. There is also the date window between the 4 and 5 o’clock markers.

Water resistance up to 100 meters is the only other feature of the Fossil CH2564, which is okay for the occasional drenching in the rain or water splashes associated with daily use. Some folks might find it difficult to read the time in the dark on this watch as the luminosity is present only in the hands. I’d say the Fossil Coachman Chronograph Black Leather CH2564 Men’s Watch is a day time watch, perfect for the day at office.

Stan was completely satisfied with his purchase since he was looking for a basic watch with no complicated features or flashy looks. At $129, the Fossil CH2564 was just right for his needs. Fossil watches are very versatile – you can change the straps to your liking. I would recommend Fossil watches as excellent gifting items – they are good quality products at affordable prices and offer great value for money. Additionally, you can choose from among a wide range of colours and styles too.
