Seiko’s endeavours to develop an energy-efficient mecha-quartz mechanism made them opt for the concepts once thought by the Swiss watch industry but could never make it reach the heights. Now, Seiko does it with its extremely accurate and smooth Calibre VK67, with dedicated step-motors and by ensuring a long battery life. Even if you use the chronograph for 60 minutes every day, the battery is going to run for at least two years before calling it quits.
